Château Red Carpet

This is Château Red Carpet. The castle was built in the 19th century by the French state. Senior officers were trained here. The castle has been abandoned since 2007 and was bought by a rich businessman in 2008 to make it a hotel. The purchase price then amounted to 4 million euros, which according to experts is an undervalued amount.
The current castle dates from 1922 and is built in Louis XIII style.
The castle is located on an estate of 40 hectares and has 176 rooms.
It has a welcome hall of 100m2 with a beautiful marble staircase.
It consists of a hammam, a squash court and two underground bunkers.
The castle is built near a village with about 500 inhabitants.
The local residents were therefore happy that the castle was bought in 2008.
It would generate some income for the local middle class.
The new buyer immediately handed over 100 parking spaces to the residents of the village.
It was also promised to build care homes for disabled people and homes for firefighters in a part of the estate.
Unfortunately the castle has been abandoned since 2012.
